Welsh karting champion Thomas Rawlings has made a good start to his rally career since switching from circuit racing this season. He started out in a Micra for the first two rounds but having fallen in love with rallying, he’s just upgraded his weapon to a more powerful Peugeot 107.
The car has a strong history in Formula 1000 having been prepared and run by Ed Fossey in 2015. With some top spec components, Tom will be hoping for improved results for the remainder of the season and looking to add to his already full trophy cabinet.
The Keith Frecker Memorial Rally this weekend will be the first time Tom will have driven the car in anger, so keep an eye on his stage times as the day wears on.
