After an impressive 2016 season competing in both the British and Scottish Junior 1000 championship, 15 year old Ewan Tindall returns with his long term co-driver Paul Hudson in their C1.  The dynamic duo tasted many success in rallies north of the border and very strong podium finishes in the British Championship.  With a number of more experienced drivers moving on to senior championships, Tindall is ready to step up and take their place as the pace setter in every rally.

Ewan commented “The 2017 season will be my 3rd season in the Junior 1000 championships and probably my last as I turn 16 in April. After 2 very strong years in 2015 and 2016 I’m looking forward to giving this season everything I have in both the English Junior 1000 Championship and also the Scottish Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge. Last year in the English championship went really well as I was able to score consistent but strong points in each of the 6 rallies allowing me to finish 3rd Overall at the end of the season, which was good as we were learning the events as most were new to us,  we also finished 2nd overall in the Scottish championship in 2016, along with 2 outright rally wins and podiums in each round”.

Tindall went on to say “Over the winter months the car has undergone a full rebuild, the suspension has been away, engine has been rebuilt which was worthwhile as Simon our mechanic found a few bent valves this was caused after a spin in the wet on the first stage at Cadwell, I went for first a bit too early, gearbox has been replaced as well as discs and pads, so it’s now up to Paul and I to see what we can do this year. One thing for sure we will be pushing to the limit”.

“There is no doubt 2017 will be a challenge, with some very good drivers coming back and drivers progressing as the year goes on. Not to mention the new cars that are being built that will be new to the championship, it will definitely be interesting to see how they go. But 2017 is certainly a challenge I’m excited for.”
